Riva has always been drawn to studying and creating art. While always finding opportunities to paint in her youth, her most transformative moment as an artist began during her post-high school year in Israel.

While studying abroad in Israel she would often spend time painting at an art studio in Jerusalem under the guidance of a well-known local artist. It was at this studio that Riva honed her skills in oil portraits, finding inspiration from the local environment of Israel and the rabbinic figures linked to her family and heritage.

Riva's professional career as an artist began to flourish in her college years. While studying art history and fine arts at Queens College she got her masters in Art and Education. Her passion for art can be seen through each stroke and the energy that pops off the canvas. 

 

Riva has found her unique expression within the world of Jewish art by creating original Jewish inspired artwork using rich and colorful oil paints combined with added dimension in her application of texture and gold leaf. Riva's artwork is sold in galleries in New York and Florida. Including 925 Sterling and Art and Gallery Mavruk. She also creates custom commissions to beautify your space.
